Smartphones and their respective accessories are items that do not go easy on the wallet for the common man. Displaying a small amount of neglect towards your devices and their accessories and you will end up with broken chargers, ripped earphones and a very expensive paperweight in the form of a smartphone.

You can avoid all of these negligible issues by choosing to use some simple but very convenient life hacks for not just your smartphone, but for your chargers as well.

1. Getting the most out of your battery

Getting The Most Out Of Your Battery

Most smartphone operating system’s batteries run dry because the users have too many services, which include Bluetooth, WiFi, and additional connectivity services.

Combine all of these with battery hungry apps such as Fruit Ninja, QuickOffice and cheap international calling apps and you won’t have a drop of battery left to last you through mid day. Since WiFi and connectivity services consume that largest percentage of battery, it is recommended that you put your device on Airplane mode whenever you can.

You will see dramatic results. This will also increase the overall life of your battery.

2. Save your phone after it has been submerged in water

Have you erroneously dropped your phone in water? Not to worry. Do not worry and quickly pull out the phone and move in haste to prevent your device from entering a watery grave. Use a vacuum cleaner to try and suck out the liquid out of the inner parts of the phone.

You can also absorb excess moisture by placing the phone in a bag of rice and leave it overnight. We do not recommend using a hairdryer since it pushes hot air rather than pulling it.

3. Protect your phone from water while you are out in the rain

Do you have to make several cheap calls while you are on the go, but it's raining too heavily outside for you to do so? Not to worry. Grab yourself a zip lock back, put your phone in it and you will be able to use it just like you use your phone regularly only this time, it will be encased in a protective layer.

4. Prevent your cables from breaking

Prevent Your Cables From Breaking

The over twisting of cables and chargers from both sides will end up weakening the outer insulation of the charger and will eventually break, making the charger useless overtime.

To prevent this, grab a couple of ball point pens (depending on how many chargers you have) and remove their springs placed around the writing tip of the pen. Do not alter the spring in any way whatsoever and gently wrap it around the micro USB port of the charger (the one that is inserted in to the smartphone’s charge opening) and you have successfully reinforced the charger will additional protection.

5. Mounting your phone in the car has never been this easy

Do you need to reach a specific destination and you need to make a few cheap calls while you are on the go? The process will be much easier than you think.

Using a large rubber band, use it to insert it in the air conditioner vent in such a way that both sides of the rubber band are protruding out of it. In this way, you will be able to pull both sides of the rubber band and insert your smartphone in to the opening, turning the rubber band in to a makeshift smartphone holder. Make your cheap calls at ease now.

These simple to execute, yet extremely convenient life hacks will help you to overcome tiny problems that you encounter on a daily basis.
